Children's Park North is a Christian Preschool and Daycare center at Rockwall, Texas that offers
a Beka Curriculum to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. It stimulates creativity and fosters a
positive self-image. The age-appropriate extra-curriculum activities ensure that your children
develop the imagination to build their logical perception at an early age.
The childcare and development programs at Children's Park North are flexible. The
reason being every child is different. Our school does not rely on the predefined concept of
children's learning. We are open to adopting new things for effective child care. Children's
safety is our topmost priority. We do not force children to learn at the cost of safety. We
appreciate the children's baby steps towards learning and encourage them to do well. We
understand that problem solving and decision-making are essential life skills. Therefore, our
curriculum is designed for children's intellectual development. We keep on introducing new
concept-driven games.
Reading is taught through the use of phonics. We have introduced the phonetic
alphabet to our curriculum. Sounds of the letters are taught to improve reading.
In mathematics students will learn to count and recognize numbers 1-100. New
ideas and techniques are introduced for adding and subtracting numbers which are funny easy to
remember. Kindergarten kids learn to tell the time correctly and count money.
In our curriculum program, phonic awareness is used in writing cursive. As they
learn to recognize the letters of the alphabet and learn what sound they make, they also learn
to write them. Later they learn to write blends, words, and sentences.
During Skills Development, students learn visual perception skills, motor
coordination, and listening/thinking skills. During Activity Time, they enjoy music, art, and a
unit on Community Helpers, an introduction to American history and geography and a chance to
meet people living in other countries. During Language Enrichment, the children learn about
positional words and opposites, rhyming words and analogies, drama, and poetry. They will also
get a chance to share their experiences and ideas during “Telling Time.”
